ADMISSION

Admission Policy

  1. Minimum required age for admission: 3 years or 36 months, before Dec 31 of that school year. (Preference is given to children who are toilet-trained).
  2. LCS does not offer financial assistance/deductions for pre-school aged children.
  3. Children are admitted for a minimum of 2 days/week.
  4. Adherence to LCS' Christian philosophy and values.
  5. Fill out Pre-School application forms, including PIPA-form
  6. Provide copy of BC Care card
  7. Provide health immunization record
  8. Provide copy of birth certificate
  9. Provide $50.00 registration fee/child
  10. Provide postdated cheques for the 1st of each month.
  11. Provide $15.00 for an earthquake kit
  12. Provide inside/outside shoes, and an extra set of clothes
  13. Visit with the principal
  14. Letter of acceptance

Privacy Information Protection Act (PIPA)

Parents need to sign the PIPA form, indicating they agree/disagree with the collection of personal info, giving out of personal info, use of photos on website/promotional materials, etc.

Fees

  • The fee per child is a minimum of $100.00/month for 2 days (morning or afternoon). The fee for three days is $150.00/month/child;four days: $200.00/month/child; and five days: $250.00/month/child.
  • The registration fee is $50.00, and is non-refundable.
  • 10 post-dated cheques, payable to LCS Pre-School, for the first of each month, need to be in the office before the child is admitted to the school.
  • Fees for outings are not included in the monthly fee.
  • Healthy snacks will be provided by the parent. Pre-School will have non-perishable snacks available for children requiring extra food.
  • Late fees of $1.00 per minute will be charged if a child is not picked up within 10 minutes 'grace-period' from school closing time (which is 11:30 am or 3:00 pm).
  • Subsidies may be available from the BC Government. For more information, please contact your nearest Human Resources Office.
  • Parents are required to give a minimum of one month notice of a child's withdrawal from the Pre-School. In lieu of one month notice the parents/guardians will be charged one month's fee when due notice is not given.
  • Earthquake Kit (about $15.00) needs to be acquired, and stored on school property.
  • Fees are per month, no refunds for sickness, vacations or school holidays (see calendar).

Repayment Agreement

Parents will need to give a one-month notice if they wish to withdraw their child. Any post-dated cheques that are due beyond the one-month notice period will be returned to the parents. The registration fee is non-refundable.
