OUTINGS
All volunteer drivers need to fill out a form indicating:
- The vehicle's good mechanical shape and roadworthiness.
- Driver has a valid driver's license
- Copy of minimum $2,000,000.00 (two million dollars) liability insurance,
- Driver will act in accordance with the BC Motor Vehicle Act with regard to the use of seat belts.
- Safety is a prominent factor, and will be taken into consideration, when planning a field trip off campus.
- Parents will sign a "Field Trip Permission" form.
- Notification of a field trip will be sent to parents in advance.
- Volunteer drivers will fill out the appropriate forms.
- One adult per 3 students is the minimum adult/children ratio for outings.
- The children's medical information will be given to the adults who are driving, so as to be prepared, in case of an emergency. For privacy reasons, the information will be kept in a sealed envelope, and returned to the teacher after the outing.
